Sixty-five Youngstown State University students were recognized for scholarship, leadership and other achievements recently at YSU's annual Student Awards Banquet. The event was sponsored by the university's Student Government, Student Experience and Student Activities.
Youngstown State University students made up the cast and much of the production team when the Dana School of Music presented the Jules Massenet opera "Cinderella", on stage earlier this spring in Bliss Hall's Ford Theater on campus. Ten Youngstown State University were awarded paid internships under the 2017 Nonprofit Leadership Summer Honors Internship Program, thanks to a $65,000 grant that the Raymond John Wean Foundation awarded to the Center for Nonprofit Leadership at YSU's Williamson College of Business Administration. The program offers full-time, 12-week paid internships for qualified YSU students with career-related work experience in a nonprofit or public sector organization. The internship program runs May 15 to Aug. 4. This is fourth time YSU has offered the internships.
